Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how ToolSwift works, what it connects to, and who it is built for.
What is ToolSwift?+
ToolSwift is a headless B2B eCommerce platform built for distributors, wholesale suppliers, and multi-location building supply operations. It includes built-in quoting, reordering, credit-aware checkout, AR management, and ERP integration, purpose-built for wholesale rather than adapted from retail software.
Who is ToolSwift built for?+
ToolSwift is designed for B2B distributors and wholesale businesses including lumber yards, hardware stores, dealers that sell both, HVAC, electrical and plumbing suppliers, medical and pharma distributors, foodservice wholesalers, and multi-location yard operations.
What is Assist AI?+
Assist AI brings emails, texts, WhatsApp messages, quote requests and internal messages into one inbox. It reads each message and its attachments, matches the items to your catalog and drafts a quote. Your rep reviews, adjusts and sends it.
Does ToolSwift support B2B quoting?+
Yes. ToolSwift has a fully built-in quoting system that lets you create quotes on behalf of customers, assign sales reps, track quote status and revisions, and convert approved quotes directly into orders, all from one dashboard.
Can ToolSwift handle multiple store locations?+
Yes. You can manage inventory, orders, pricing, and customer accounts across multiple locations or branches from a single unified dashboard.
Does ToolSwift integrate with ERP or accounting systems?+
Yes. ToolSwift connects to ERP and accounting systems including Epicor BisTrack, Eagle, Prophet 21 and Eclipse, ECI Spruce and Deacom, DMSi Agility and Frameworks, Paladin, Genetiq, Sandbox ERP, Profit Master, PRISM, Ogasys/Acceo, QuickBooks and NetSuite, and our team builds connectors for others. It can also function as a PIM (Product Information Manager) and connect to fulfillment systems like Shippo and ShipStation.
Does ToolSwift have a mobile app?+
Yes. ToolSwift includes a native mobile app for iOS and Android, branded for your business. Contractors can shop your catalog with their own pricing, order by voice, scan product barcodes, message your team directly, request and approve quotes, check their credit balance, and pay invoices from the job site. It runs on the same catalog, pricing and accounts as your storefront.
Will my products show up on Google and in AI assistants?+
ToolSwift is built for it. Product pages are server-side rendered, so they are visible to Google and to AI crawlers, while client-side rendered catalogs are often invisible to them. It also generates dynamic sitemaps, supports the Universal Commerce Protocol so your catalog can be read by ChatGPT and Gemini, and connects natively to Google Merchant Center, Microsoft Merchant Center, Meta Merchant and Google Analytics on your own accounts.
Can my team text and WhatsApp customers from one number?+
Yes. ToolSwift has SMS and WhatsApp messaging built in. Your team messages customers through a single company phone number, landline included, and every rep can see and join the conversation, so messaging between reps and customers stays in one place.
Is ToolSwift a headless CMS?+
Yes. ToolSwift is fully headless: the frontend and backend are completely decoupled. You can build any storefront you want on your preferred technology, such as Next.js, and consume all data through ToolSwift's REST API.
What payment methods does ToolSwift support?+
ToolSwift supports credit cards, net terms, ACH, and digital payment options including Konek. Payments are linked to AR and customer credit status, enabling credit-aware checkout that enforces spending limits automatically.
How is ToolSwift different from Shopify or WooCommerce for B2B?+
Shopify and WooCommerce are built for retail and adapted for B2B. ToolSwift was designed from the ground up for wholesale operations. It natively handles net terms, AR management, quote workflows, tiered contractor pricing, and multi-location inventory, which take costly workarounds or add-on apps on retail platforms.
